Acolyte |
Acolytes are devout young members of the Church of
Albion who specialize in healing and improving the abilites of
their allies. They learn the basics before either entering the
Church of Albion to become a cleric, or the Brotherhood to

The fighter is a young warrior training in the use
of arms and armor. They learn the basics of combat and the use

The mage practices in basic Body and Matter magic,
training to one day become a more powerful magic user. They are
not skilled at melee combat, choosing to focus their energies on

The rogue trains with basic weapons, and will one
day become a musically talented minstrel, a stealthy and cunning

Cleric |
The cleric is a devout man who specialize in holy
magic that can heal wounds as well as provide greater ability in
battle. They rely somewhat on their physical toughness
(constitution), but mostly depend on their piety so they are
granted divine favor and magic. Clerics are important in groups,
both for augmenting the combat abilities of their allies on the
front line and keeping them alive and well during battle. For
self defense, they can use studded armor and shields, although
they are best on the back lines in battle. |

The friar class is a group of wandering healers
that focuses on healing and combat with their favored weapon,
the staff. However, in training so rigorously in the staff, they
forsake training in armor and other weapons... |

Armsman |
Armsmen are the masters of arms and armor, giving
up all magical abilities to devote all their energies to
mastering the use of weapons and armor. They can use any type of
melee weapon or armor except those that are specifically
enchanted for other classes. They are the only class that can
use polearms. They are unmatched when it comes to proficiency in
the arts of melee combat. In ranged combat, they are proficient
with crossbows. They also learn combat styles that let them make
devastating attacks when certain opportunities arise. They also
train in techniques that allow them to shield their weaker
realmmates. |

Mercenary |
The mercenary is a warrior for hire who are
trained in the use of most single-handed weapons, as well as the
use of short bows. They, along with the infiltrator, are the
only classes that can fight with a weapon in each hand. They
tend to rely more on speed and prowess than brute force. They,
like the armsman, gain combat styles allowing them to make
powerful attacks when the correct opening arises. |

Paladin |
The paladin is a man who has devoted his life to
the Church of Albion, although he has more combat ability than
the Cleric. He can swing a blade nearly as well as the armsman,
but also has magic that aids his group in combat. He is not as
proficient in healing/augmenting as the cleric, or as proficient
in combat as the armsman, but he is important in groups
nonetheless. |

Sorcerer |
The sorcerer practices the same destructive matter
and body magic as the cabalist, however, they focus their
training on magic that manipulates the mind. At the academy,
they study spells that enable them to control and manipulate the
minds of their enemies. |

Cabalist |
Cabalists are masters of spirit magic which
enables them to summon fearsome constructs to fight for them.
They are also proficient in the matter and body magic they
learned when they were training as mages. This combination makes
them a fearsome and deadly combination. |

Theurgist |
The theurgist is a master of earth, fire, and ice
magic. He gains the fire and ice magic from his elementalist
training. Then, when he joins the Defenders of Albion, he begins
to learn magic of the Earth, including summoning Earth
Elementals to aid them in combat. Later on in their careers,
they learn spells that aid siege warfare. |

Wizard |
The Circle of Wizardry is a very exclusive group,
made up of followers of the same school of magic followed by
Merlin. They only allow Avalonians, citing their magnificent
intellectual abilities. The wizard focuses on elemental magic,
harnessing the power of water, fire, earth, and air. Like the
sorcerer, they wear only their regular clothes as armor, and use
a staff in melee combat, although a wizard is much more useful
on the back lines using his magic. |

Infiltrator |
The infiltrator is a master of stealth, spying,
and backstabbing. They can wear leather armor and use swords.
They are the best class for spying on enemy realms. |

Minstrel |
The minstrel is a master of storytelling and
music, using the magical properties of his songs. He is somewhat
proficient in combat, being able to use several kinds of armor
and using slashing or thrusting weapons. They are very useful in
groups, where their songs can have profound effects on the
group's performance |

Scout |
Scouts are masters of the deadly Briton Longbow,
as well as tracking and moving around quickly. They can use up
to studded armor. Their specialty is the bow and sneak attacks,
although if they are forced to fight up close they can do so.
They are most at home using stealth abilities to perform sneak
attacks, such as backstabs. Their combat styles are based on
quick, extremely powerful attacks. |

The viking is the basic fighting man of Midgard.
He is proficient in all weapons and armor, although he receives
no magical abilities. He makes up for it with brute strength and

The thane is a fighting man proficient in arms and
armor, however, he receives weather-related attack spells from
his patron god, Thor. |
Skald |
Bragi, God of Poetry and Song |
The skald of Midgard is equally at home with a
blade and a song...He inspires his comrades at arms while
fighting by their side. |
Berserker |
Odin, God of Battle |
The berserker is a fighter who is able to put
himself into a trance-like Berserker rage, forsaking his own
personal safety and making frenzied and devastating attacks.
Later on in their career, Berserkers learn how to shapeshift
into Bear form. |
Hunter |
Skadi, Goddess of the Hunt |
The hunter is a master of the hunt, being very
proficient in tracking animals, using bows, and during their
career learning the arts of charming and controlling animals as
well as shifting into animal form. |

The shadowblade is a priest of Loki that learns
the arts of illusion and stealth as well as becoming proficient
in forms of deadly combat... |
Spiritmaster |
Hel, Queen of the Underworld |
The spiritmaster gains powerful divine spells that
allows him to summon his fallen comrades to aid him in battle,
as well as extremely destructive cold-based magic. |
Healer |
Eir, Goddess of Healing |
The healer is learned in the arts of healing their
wounded comrades. They have some ability in close combat,
although they are best utilized away from the front lines of the
melee. |
Shaman |
Ymir, The Fallen Giant |
The shaman is a tribal priest of the Trolls and
Kobolds that draw their power from the land around them. They
use this power for both healing and more combat-oriented magic. |

Hibernian equivalent of Minstrel/Bard. Has
"songs" as well as some fighting ability. |
